I'm thinking of buying a new PC for around 30k..the requirements are: motherboard, processor,RAM,graphics card, cabinet and a power supply

The configuration i thought of:
-a decent H67 lg1155 motherboard
-core i5 sandybridge 2400k
-ATI Radeon 6850 or 6870
-any cabinet..medium tower i guess
- 500W power supply
-4 Gb ram

Can I get this much for around 30000..can stretch the budget up a bit but not more than 32k.So can u guys give me the exact pricing of all the above mentioned devices?..I live in Bangalore.

IMO if you are considering a 6800 series card get a 600w PSU to be safe from brands like Seasonic, Corsair, Coolermaster Realpower/Silentpower(only), Glacial power etc.

For a 6900 series card get a 700 watts PSU and for 6800 CF go for 800 watts or so.

You can settle for a 2300 if you want to save some bucks, though a 2500k is just about 2k more than your budget and can perform about 30-40% faster when overclocked.

if you have to get a 6800 series graphic card with a core i5, spend at least 4-6k on your PSU, bare essential and don't go for anything less than a good quality 600 watts PSU.

Yep..stretching my budget to 35k..so is a 500W supply sufficient for 6870?..also they say something about a 2 pin cord..is there anything extra we need to look at?

Cooler Master eXtreme Power Plus 600W RS-600-PCARE3 Power Supply

Is this PSU good enough for the above config?..For the 6870 mainly!!

You can also get a Tagan Stonerock PSU. The 500W is available @ 3K and the 600W @ 4.1K. Corsair GS 600W is also available @ 4K. It is also good for future upgrades.

Avoid Extreme series PSUs...
Get Seasonic S12II-520 - 3.5K(80+ bronze), enough for future upgrades...
