To fit in that budget and also get an UPS you need to go AMD or skip GPU for now

I wud prefer a quad core AMD vs Core i3 hyperthreading. AMD Athlon??

Hi aftablonely786,

The choice of CPU depends on you. I'd suggest you to go with the Intel i3 over Amd Athlon because of its hyper-threading feature, which allows each CPU core to execute two threads simultaneously. The Amd CPU operating frequency of the microprocessor is higher than the frequency of the other CPU, as a speed result Amd CPU is a faster than over other CPU. In terms of performance and threading, Intel series is almost same with Amd in most applications.

Just a suggestion, If you want to go with AMD processors then AMD FX series is way to go.

Hope it helps.
