New Lappy In need, Plz Guide!

hey guyz me back,

I hav to buy a laptop for budget under 700$. I want the lappy for basic tasks, so no overiding with high gpu, and one more thing to add that the screen size doesnt matter

For your budget, you could look at AMD based HP Pavilion dv6z.

@bilalarc, few suggestions:

1) Go for Core2Duo based models, especially the P7xxx series as they support virtualizion and is good for virtual machines and XP-mode if you want to try.
2) on AMD's side, look for Turion II and nothing else.
3) Increase your budget by another 100$ and you will get lot better deals.
4) Consider LED display based models as that can save lot of battery and good for watching movies etc
5) Pick one with win7 home premium or one without an OS.
6) get 3gig ram atleast
4) atleast 320Gb of HDD size

My pick would be HP dv6z that Otpsurvive suggested or Dell Inspiron or Acer 5738G.

But my first choice would be Acer 5738G or 5739G. These are teriffic models.

I totally agree with desiibond.Go for acer 5738g as it has a good graphics solution i.e nvidia geforce gt 105m.

If you can up your budget a bit more,i would suggest the lennovo y550 as it has an even more better graphics solution in form of nviida gt 130m.

Go for Acer Aspire As5739d-6959. It is the best Gaming laptop at ur budget.
