Touchscreen should be rsponsive (I'm currently using Nokia 5800). Also give disadvantages of the phone u suggest.

Extend your budget by 1K and you can buy MOTOROLA DEFY,available for 16K on Letsbuy after applying the discount coupon,though it also lacks the front facing camera.

What about Sony X8 ? Is waiting for 10 months for blutooth v3 worth it ?

My nokia 5800 is not detected in nokia software updater, so i'm unable to update its software. What could d problem be ?

X8 got 3" screen, 128Mb ram & yes Android 2.1 = total waste.

if you drop the front camera thing, Samsung Galaxy Ace is a pretty good deal and within your budget.

have you tried using the built in updater through GPRS/3G?

Xperia X8-Insufficient RAM,outdated OS version,Lacks multi touch,No video-call camera,Software glitches always there in Sony.Not recommended.

Regarding Nokia5800-Try upgrading Over The Air.

1. X8 is dead model now.
2. Do note that bluetooth v3 that sammy uses is misleading. you need to look for phone that support BT v3 + HS.
3. does Ovi suite detect the phone?

That is a common problem you should downgrade your cable connectivity driver and it will work like a charm.
Just download the files I'm providing you and replace the original ones with this one. Steps are there in the rar file.
Restart your PC and you are good to go.

PS: I suggest you to use Ovi suite instead of PC suite as Ovi has the updater built-in plus its very easy to use.

Go for galaxy ace... U'll get it for about 15k...

With swype, u won't ever feel the need for a physical keypad...

As far as the front cam is concerned, I guess you won't find one within 15k.

You can buy HTC Salsa for 15k from letsbuy & flipkart. It has a front facing vga camera, more ram (512 mb) & salsa is definately better then galaxy ace. Here's the review : HTC Salsa Review - YouTube
