Network problem

I am not able to connect to internet through lan connection in ubuntu. i had mentioned IP add, default gateway, still i am not able to connect. I checked all address. i am able to connect in vista but not able to connect in ubuntu with same settings. Previously i am able to connect in ubuntu but now i am not able to connect. please help me.

yess this is a dataone connection. i am able to connect in vista but not able to connect in ubuntu. I checked DNS settings, IP add, subnet mask, default gateway but i m not able to connect.

what is the o/p of "ifconfig" from a terminal?
