yes that intel board is good.
tell him that 6850 is min need for full hd gaming. atleast ask him to get Sapphire HD6870 @ 11.3k as these cards are in his budget.

@Tenida, if he is getting the rig next month, he can wait for Bulldozer release...

nice idea

Here's my suggestion:

Component | Make | Price Processor |Intel Core i5 2400|9300
Motherboard |Intel DH67VR-B3|4500
RAM |Gskill Ripjaws X F3-12800CL9S-4GBXL|1600
Graphic Card |MSI GTX 560-Ti Hawk|14000
HDD |Seagate 1Tb 7200.12|2700
DVD Writer |LG 22X SATA DVD|900
PSU |Corsair GS600|4000
Case |NZXT Gamma|2000
Monitor |Benq G2220HDL (led display)|8000
UPS |APC1.1KVA|4100
| Total |51100

Ask him to get the core components first and then settle for a good keyboard + mouse combo. For now settle for a normal bundle from logitech and give priority to core components.

I strongly suggest 560-Ti hawk as its the best card for its price and you know its easily available in M.D Computers. The only card that can rival it is Msi 6950 Twin frozr3 OC but that is more than 2k expensive. One of the best coolers around i.e the TF III cooler.

I think you can also get Nzxt gamma from M.D as they have started selling NZXT products. If not, then settle for cm elite 430.

Apc 800va is not 3k i guess. So settle for the next best i.e 1.1kva.

Have a look at this as well:

STEELSERIES SIBERIA USB SOUNDCARD @ 1.2k

If NZXT Gamma is available then it will be like jackpot:razz:
About keyboard/mouse he is ok with cheap bundle he don't want spent too much on this things.
I have to convinced him to get MSI 560Ti Hawk @14K(Best performance card @14K IMO) as he is not willingly to spent over 10K on GFX card.

If your friend is not willing to spend that much on Gfx card then Sapphire HD 6870, available @ 10.8K in M.D. Computers is the next best choice. Although HD 6850 is good for current games in Full HD resolution, HD 6870 is a better option considering the upcoming games.

^^^ as I said MSI HD 6870 TF II/OC ;) for non reference version.

But MSI HD 6870 TFII?oC is costly than the Sapphire one.

Sapphire HD 6870 is also non-reference version. With custom PCB.

yeah Sapphire HD 6870 is more value for money at 10.8K considering its performance but MSI one provides solid cooling solution. Look at the temp of Sapphire HD 6870 Sapphire Radeon HD 6870 Review - Page 16 - Power, Temps, Conclusion

well right now I exactly dunno the model no. but they confirmed its around 3k
