Need OCR software to edit PDF document

Hi Friends,

I have some PDF documents which are scanned copies and I need them to be edited or converted to excel. Is there any online software available which can do this. Since I can't install the software on machine here I need an online version.

I would've suggested Nitro PDF but it isn't available in an online version.

I recommend Nitro Pdf.
Awesome software and I ise it and it's way better than acrobat softwares.

May be I got the question in wrong sense. My point though, was that how is it possible to edit "texts" in a scanned document ?

It is possible using ocr.
Ocr software recognize text in document, then convert it to editable word document

Sometimes it doesn't works as its supposed to like when you want to edit formulas and expressions.
Abbyy OCR is also good though.

One more thing I came to know is we can't edit scanned copies of content which has been hand written.

I'm working as part of group which helps poor children studying in govt schools. Was trying to collect their grades to gift them.

Two things

1. OCR software gives lot of errors. Accuracy is only 90 %

2. Scanned copies as far as I know are treated as an image by PDF editors and hence cannot be moved to an editable format.
