What is the purpose of the computer? What all applications and games are you going to run?
Ans: I'm a photographer and plan to use this for my photo and occasional video editing work. I use Lightroom, Photoshop, Proshow Producer and Adobe Premiere. I'm looking for a config that'll last me a couple of years at least.

2. What is your overall budget? If you can extend a bit for a more balanced configuration, then mention this too.
Ans: 30k

3. Planning to overclock?
Ans: Nope.

4. Which Operating System are you planning to use?
Ans:Windows 8.1+ Ubuntu

5. How much hard drive space is needed?
Ans: I have about 2Tb of hdds now and plan to add more as needed. Prefer motherboards that support more HDDs.

6. Do you want to buy a monitor? If yes, please mention which screen size and resolution do you want. If you already have a monitor and want to reuse it, again mention the size and resolution of monitor you have.
Ans: I'll continue using my LG Flatron E2040T (51cm, 1600*900) monitor for a bit.

7. Which components you DON'T want to buy or which components you already have and plan on reusing?
Ans: HDDs, mouse, keyboard and speakers. Also have a Transcend 8GB DDR3 1333Mhz RAM lying around unused as my current motherboard supports only DDR2. Would be great if I can use it but not very important.

8. When are you planning to buy the system?
Ans: Within the next week.

9. Have you ever built a desktop before or will this be done by an assembler?
Ans: Yes, I did.

10. Where do you live? Are you buying locally? Are you open to buying stuff from online shops if you don't get locally?
Ans: Buying from CTC, Hyderabad.

Thanks bavusani. Wondering if I should go for 16GB of RAM. In which case, what would be a good RAM to go for?
