hey i can build a rig for you. I live in bangalore and here you can get gr8 deals for hardware. I myself saved a lot by not buying online. The prices are inflated everywhere online.

Maybe the amd drivers arent ready for crysis 3 yet

Anyway, found this : Crysis 3 Performance, Benchmarked On 16 Graphics Cards : Crysis 3: The Return Of Prophet

Sometimes I think tomshardware is amd biased :-?

PS: In the 'Triple Moniter benchmark' page, check 2nd frame rate graph. 660ti sli is only 3 fps ahead of a single HD7950 Boost.

Good read. Thank You.

But somehow I like the image quality of a ATi more than a Nvidia. Its my personal view, people can differ.

Check this review,FX and a lesser card like GTX 660 (Crytek is Nvidia Biased though) is going very very strong. The GTX 660 is taking over both HD 7850 and a HD 7870. But thats for Crysis 3 only. Just dont read the conclusion ,its a great read altogether.

how you define image quality in your terms ??..smooothness etc....and which one developers prefer ..nvidia or amd ..both apps and games.....i'm agree with what amd need for crysis 3 is a driver update.also in my view crysis 3 still is in beta stage and updates are coming frequently{like far cry 3}.Its my personal view, people can differ :D.,..crysis series has became benchmark for hardware{according to tomshare} thats why i,ve written crysis 3 in my requirement.i dont want in high setting ..i satisfy with medium settings....

@cilus what difference those mhz make in ram....

Color Temperature and Richer Colors.

Even with medium settings at the very moment you are way better off with GTX660 2GB over a HD7850.

Well, if you want an AMD config, here is one:

With fx8350 and hd7870,cx430v2(336Watts on 12V rail) is not enough if you take overclocking and other things into account.
Even at stock fx8350 can draw very high amount of power under heavy load, around ~100Watts more than i5 3570k.
Get corsair GS500 or seasonic s12ii 520w or something similar, for some headroom left.

As calculated from eXtreme Outer Vision - eXtreme tools for computer enthusiasts the power requirement for your mentioned rig (with no overclock) is 410 W with a recommended PSU Wattage of 460 W. However, using cpu overclock to be 5 GHz and V core as 1.35 V, the recommended PSU Wattage is 494 W, and that does not include GPU overclock. Even if you have no intention of overclocking your hardware right now, I'm 100% sure you will at some point of time (it's just irresistible :D). So, to be safe, you should atleast get a 500 W PSU. You may also opt Corsair GS500 (4000). I know this may send your rig over-budget but hey, a stitch in time saves nine!

Edit: You are getting a very nice rig, so don't let a 1k let it down.
