Hi Friends,

I'm having an 600 VA APC UPS and also an 7 year old Zebronics Power Supply Unit. Now i'm planning to upgrade my PSU to Seasonic 620 Watts PSU.

I would like to know will there be any issues in 600 VA APC UPS supporting Seasonic 620 Watts PSU. Do I need to upgrade my APC UPS or its not necessary ?

Request your suggestions and replies on my query

Thanks and Regards

No. APC 600 VA would run fine, but I guess if its old, then may be you need to replace the battery of it :p

At high loads, i doubt you will have time to close apps and shutdown properly.
For normal loads, the 600va is ok.

Post your config. Are you upgrading any other components as well? If you are just changing the PSU then the UPS should work just fine.

Hi SlashDK,
I'm replacing the entire chassis and components inside as well.

This is the new Configuration I have planned to buy in the next 15 days...

CPU = AMD A10-Series A10-5800K - AD580KWOHJBOX
Motherboard = ASUS F2A85-M Pro
PC RAM = G.Skill RipjawsX 8GB DDR3-1866/PC3-14900 PC RAM
DVD-Writer = Asus DRW-24B5ST Internal Optical Drive (Black)
Cabinet = Cooler Master Elite 431 Mid Tower Cabinet (RC-431)
Power Supply Unit = Seasonic S12II 620 Watts PSU
Multimedia Speakers = Sony SRS – D8 2.1 Multimedia Speakers
Headphone = Sennheiser HD 201 Headphone
USB Adapter = Cooler Master - USB 3.0 Adapter (RA-USB-303S-IN)
Router = Netgear DGN2200 ADSL2+ Wireless-N 300 Router With Modem (Black)

I'm have retained only my 19 inch Monitor HP w1907, USB Mouse, PS2 keyboard and APC UPS 600VA. Few month back I replaced the battery of my UPS since it was in warranty.

Request your valuable suggestions and recommendations whether can I use the same UPS for the new configuration as mentioned above or should I go for a new UPS.

Thanks and Regards

Requesting members to suggest on whether 600VA UPS would be sufficient for the new PC configuration or should I get a new and better UPS ?

The rig you posted doesnt require a 600w psu.
If you dont have any other components to add, opt for a corsair 430w.

The 600va ups is fine.
