Hello guys,

1. What is the purpose of the computer?
Ans:It will only be used for playing games like Crysis 2, Metro, COD, BF3 and should run any upcoming games at High-definition without any problems.

2. What is your overall budget? If you can extend a bit for a more balanced configuration, then mention this too.
Ans: Budget is around 80k to 100k.

3. Planning to overclock?
Ans: Maybe, not sure about it

4. Which Operating System are you planning to use?
Ans: Windows 7

5. How much hard drive space is needed?
Ans: 1 TB

6. Do you want to buy a monitor? If yes, please mention which screen size and resolution do you want. If you already have a monitor and want to reuse it, again mention the size and resolution of monitor you have.
Ans: I already own Dell UltraSharp U2311H 23 which i bought last year.

7. Which components you DON'T want to buy or which components you already have and plan on reusing?
Ans: I already have Monitor, keyboard, Mouse, headphones and don't want speakers

8. When are you planning to buy the system?
Ans:I'll most probably buy by next week.

9. Have you ever built a desktop before or will this be done by an assembler?
Ans:It will be done by assembler.

10. Where do you live? Are you buying locally? Are you open to buying stuff from online shops if you don't get locally?
Ans: I live in Delhi and will be buying from Nehru place.

Recap:
I bought a rig last year with help of TDF but i faced lots of heating issues, system froze and shutdowns which gave lots of tension to me and i had to return back my whole system.

You can check the thread which i made last year:

I don't want any types of heating issues this time and want to stay away from mental trauma i had gone through last year. I just want my PC in working condition and should handle any games without any problems.

I'm mostly eying on Intel i5 2500k & i5 3570k, GTX 680 or ATI 7970 & Maybe any good mobo from asus, gigabyte or Asrocks.

Please advice and ask me any questions if i missed anything. :)

it would be better to just go with one gtx 670. OP can get 128GB SSD, Blu ray drive and Modular PSU

well. modular psu is just a luxury not a requirement, but when OP has budget why not go for it ?

yeah . can get OCZ Vertex 3 120GB . good read speeds. and modular PSU to make the wiring convenient :p

and blu-ray :)

that 9k PSU is not really necessary.. and a gtx 670 is all u will need to max out every single game at 1080p... step back on a psu to a 80+ bronze non modular if u want

Oh and by the way -- @Sainatarajan -- why suggesting mATX board?

Intel i7-2600K @ 17K (Ivy bridge runs hot for Delhi summer imo)
Asus P8Z77-V PRO @ 17.5K (Full ATX motherboard always when you have the budget. Extra slots ftw if you decide to add a sound card/TV Tuner one fine day.)
CM Hyper 212 Evo @ 2.1K
HD 7970 or GTX 680 @ 33K. (Get any. No need of SLI/CF. GTX 680 is ~12% faster in games. HD 7970 is 300% faster in compute. Both are equal when both are overclocked.)
Corsair TX650v2 PSU @ 5.5K (Spend more on Corsair AX750 or Seasonic X-760 if you wish to have a modular PSU. Otherwise this is fine.)
Corsair 400R cabinet @ 5K

OCZ Petrol 128 GB SSD @ 10K (SSD as boot drive makes the system ultra responsive)
500 GB HDD @ 4.5K
2 * 4 GB 1600 Mhz Gskill RipjawsX @ 3K
DVD Writer @ 1K

Total = 1 lakh.

That's what I'd get. :p

Have you been living under a rock ? AMD 7xxx series has arrived, so why are you suggesting a HD 6970 ?
And the prices you are suggesting are outdated.
GS600 is 4.7k not 4k. A 1 TB SATA III HDD costs >5k, not 2.7k. i7 2600k costs around 17k. Do some research before posting.

hey ico,

thanks for replying..
1. It will only be used for gaming..dont you think i5 2500k will be enough for my requirements?

2. How about Noctua NH-D14 from flipkart?[Last year it was not available anywhere]

3.Can you tell me which manufacturer would be best for gtx 680 and amd 7970?
I saw some benchmarks and i think OC editions always performs better?

4. I like the idea of SSD but don't you think its quite expensive -_-

Lastly, can you come on steam..I need to talk to you :p

OP has the budget. i think an 80k+ build without SSD and bluray is lame

2600k is not gonna help in any way in games

??????

I like the idea of SSD and can also drop to 2500k rather spending 5k bucks extra on 2600k. I dont think blue-ray will be necessary for me as i mostly download movies from internet and watch :)

I would go with ASUS GTX 680 and HIS HD 7970.
When you have a budget of 100K , you must buy an SSD for OS and SOFTWARES .

Hey guys,

After lots of research i have decided few parts..Would love to hear your views here :)

CPU Intel 3570k
Motherboard Asus P8Z77-V Pro
GPU AMD 7970 OR GTX 680
HDD WD caviar black 1TB
Heatsink Noctua NH-D14

If any one can update me with price of i5 3750k..it will be a great help.

I m thinking of going with P8Z77-V Pro but Can any 1 tell me any mobo from gigabyte in same range?

I need best manufacturer and price of both cards.
should i get overclocked edition or stock one?

I m going with Noctua so i need good 1600Mhz 8 gb ram which is compatible with it

I want to know difference between Corsair AX and TX series..is it only modular or something else?
Also, need price update on AX and TX 850W

Lastly i need a good looking case with lots of fan mounts.

Maybe something from HAF series or Cm storm?

Any other tips will be appreciated.

Thanks
