What about sound? Do you plan to invest separately for sound support? You will need to add another 5K minimum for a good sound card. Or you could try some new mobos that offer inbuilt HD sound. I picked up Biostar Hi-Fi Z97WE exactly for this reason

that's a Z97 mobo which is useless for many people as they don't overclock, sound card can be added later on too but most people are happy with the inbuilt one. and as I remember correctly I saw you said your friend bought it? that too with an i5 4570?

Onboard sound is good enough for entry level speakers. And for gaming if anyone absolutely requires a sound card there is always Asus Xonar DGX at 1.9k
