Need a usb wifi adapter

Hii guys,

My friend needs to connect his laptop to the wifi router in his college so he has asked me to suggest him a usb wifi adapter.
His budget is Rs 500 to 700. (definitely cannot extend)

Can u guys suggest a reliable usb wifi adapter in the price range ?

Recently i purchased "TP-LINK 150 Mbps TL-WN721N Wireless N" for Rs. 523/-. It works great for me.

I will be purchasing one more USB adapter for another computer, thinking of getting it from TP-Link.

I have the same one. You dont even need the driver to be installed if you have windows 8
I guess its the same for win7

PS: you cannot use it as Wireless hotspot.

No Driver needed for Ubuntu too, i am using it in Ubuntu 14.04, just plugged in and it worked, so it must be the same on Win 7.

Nice, Ubuntu is quite an updated linux distro
hence it has drivers for most of the devices
