Need a speaker system

Hi friends,

I am new to this section, so please help me with this.
My cousin has bought a 42'' inch LG SMART 3D LED TV which have an OPTICAL AUDIO output.
I don't have any idea about this so can you please suggest me any audio speakers for the same.
The size of the room is 20 feet x 20 feet so i think 2.1 speakers set will be enough..

20x20 is quite good in size for which we need powerful speakers. If u want to watch movie with full surround sound glory, and fully utilize the optical out of your tv, then you should consider a 5.1 speaker system with DD-DTS decoder like Logitech z906 (16k+).

in 2.1, Logitech 623 though not have optical input, it is quite powerful for game and movie. 8k
Edifier 530D have optical in, and good for music. Less powered than Logitech 623 for movies and games.

Other option(without optical in) are Edifier c3(8k), Klipsh Promedia (11.5k)
