Need a power supply for the following config-

the config is- asus p7p55d- e lx, intel core i3 540, g.skill ripjaws 4gb ram, palit hd 4850, 1 360 gb seagate 7200rpm hdd & 1 500 gb seagate 7200 rpm hdd. i am also going to connect 2 external portable hdd's of 500gb. please suggest something within rs.2000/- as i am on a tight budget & cannot extend it any further.

Corsair CX430 & FSP Saga II 500 only provide a 28A on single 12v rail & its not sufficient to drive your 4850. Sorry for the previous information.

Your 4850 requires a min 30A of current & at that price point of view, i suggest you to increase the budget to atleast 3k in order to accomodate a VX450 [I heard its EOL, but if you are luck then you can get it or look if someone selling VX450 in bazaar section.]

hmm...anything else within Rs. 2500/- ? 3k would be too steep for me. :-(

^^As told earlier, if you are confortable in buying some good used PSU's, then there a guy selling his 2yrs old VX450 at less than 2.5k.

TACEN SUPERO PSUs are oem from FSP and they all are 80+ Bronze certified. Although the build quality is not as good as Corsair, they provide very good performance.

guys i cannot stretch any more than 3k....so how are these PSU's? -

Corsair 500W CX PSU

Available for 3k at PrimeAbGb & the FSP Saga II 500 Watts available for Rs. 2450/-. So please suggest among these? i think the CX 500 should suffice. I'd also like to add that i was using the CM extreme power 600w since 2008 before it recently went kaput...
