Hi Everyone,
I want to buy a secondary PC for myself. I already have a PC to fulfill my gaming needs. I need this PC for a little bit of casual gaming, watching movies and doing some project work (like in JAVA, C, C++). Could you please help me out with this one. Coz somehow i find making high end rigs much easier than low end one's!! My budget is Rs. 25000 max. Please Help!

Perhaps you can change the proccy+mobo comb to AMD 4600+ (2.85k) or 5200+ (3.6k) with ASUS M2A-VM (3.9k)... And you forgot HDD... 160 GB will cost 2k... Since this is a low end system, I think the Powersafe SMPS will be overkill... The default SMPS shipped with the cabinet should suffice... And maybe 9500GT will be better than 8600GT

^^ Does the mobo suggested by u has onboard IGP?
BTW 8600GT is just my additional suggn... If he wish he buy that... If he buy the gfx card only he needs PowerSafe PSU... Else the default PSU with the cabby do good...
and save a lot of money too....

I do NOT think the above implies for a dedicated graphics card when one HAS a powerful PC already.

The M2A-MX has very decent onboard graphics through the use of the AMD690V chipset (ATI Radeon X1200 Graphics)... So, unless the comp is used for modern games, there may not be need to buy Graphics card even... That will shave off about 4-5k in the cost...

But I wud suggest an AMD config with HD3200 as onboard solution which is powerful, and reliable, and finally u can get the rig for lesser than what u went out to spend.

^^ Yes, I think that is a good option... Gigabyte's GA-MA78GM-S2H comes with 780G chipset with HD3200 graphics and costs only 4.7k... You can cancel the graphics card and save it for the future...

ASUS's M3A78-EMH HDMI costs 5.8k...

^^ My post was for rajkumar_pb's configuration which had a GFX card. And instead of a 17 incher, adding 1 k could get OP a 19 incher monitor.

See here:

X2 4600+ @ 2.7k
Jetway 780G @ 4.2k
2*1GB DDR2 800Mhz RAM @ 2k
Logitech kbd/mouse combo @ 0.7k
(u said u hav another GOOD rig so) Logitech R-10 @ 0.4k
ViewSonic 1928w 19" @ 8.2k
iBall i612 Cabinet with 400W PSU @ 1.2k

Total - 19.4k

Now if you want, you can add one of these:
8600GT 256MB DDR3 @ 3k
Zotac 9500GT 512MB DDR3 @ 4k
HD4650 @ 4.8k
HD4670 @ 5.4k

And all are within 25k, and ^^ cards will work with the 400W PSU with cabinet.

^^ That config sucks in front of what rajkumar_pb's suggested. Where is speaker set? Mercury makes el-yucko! mobos. Samsung DVD writer SH-203B or something like that is one of the best out there. And the tray is very nice. Using it since 6 months.
And 17 inch LCD is so-so in comparision of 19" which comes at just a few bucks more.

Hmm.. Yeah i give some options... Assume ur in tight budget and suggest u a card priced b/w 1.5k - 2.5k
XFX 7300GT - 2.2k ...(This one is 256MB DDR2)
MSI 8400GS - 1.9k..(512MB DDR2)
MSI 8500GT - 2.5k

I prefer MSI8600GT 256MB DDR3 for 3k.....
