i need a 1 TB external hard disk. i have a 1TB WD passport hard disk it is almost full. i need to buy a new one. i was going to buy the same WD hard disk, but last week i connected my WD passport to my friends laptop. he had connected his hardisk (also the same WD 1TB), my disk was detected but didnt show up in the list of drives in my computer. when he disconnected his WD hard disk mine showed up in My computer, is there any particular reason for that..? if i buy the WD passport will both of the disks show up in my computer..?
i have two choices 1TB WD or 1TB Toshiba Canvio which one should i choose..
