Narrow seach in google desktop???

hi,

how can the search of google desktop be narrowed to users needs. like, say i would like to see results of only .doc file, rather then the whole list of files that are irrelevent.

i have read in some book having this syntax: ext:doc "india", will result in doc files only having india in the contents. it seems that this works only in internet.

any clues and ideas on it. pls help me as i am a regular user of google desktop as this is THE search engine.

i dont think so. this is a real good stuff and u should exprement it own yourown. i ve been using it for the past 4 months and have never come across any this suspecious.
