N79 or N82?

+1 for N79...coz its new interface...similar cam performance and good looks.

there r very less 3d games available soo 3d card not much advantage.

N79 can also play Ngage games equally well..

No , future r ngage games only , need 3D hardware

N79 is slower than N85 , also N85 is slower than N82

We can hack N82 as possible to be in new Interface , except menu types

N79 looks much better

you won't need that 3d accelerator... even mighty N96,N85 does not have it

N79 got S60 9.3 ..

N79 cause it got FM TRANSMITTER ... really good for SHOW OFF

and also for transferring mp3 in fm recording phones

you will keep on getting apps for 9.3,9.2,9.1 (all are same with some added stuff )

N79 keypad is way better than N82

N79 screen brightness is more than N82

u can change the back cover of the phone to cool ones daily...

u call N95 and N85 might , then what would u call the N82 ???

Considering 9.3 is mostly a cosmetic upgrade,i ll be getting the N82.

But I heard that the new firmware of n79 has lots of improvement with camera

I have used both N82 & N79 with latest firmware. N82's picture quality is indeed better then N79. If camera is your priority then get N82.

Sound quality is similar but keypad is much better (at least for my taste).

The difference I saw in N82 compared to my N79

1) Camera quality is at least 30% better when taking indoor pictures. Xenon flash is indeed better when taking pics inside. When taking pics in daylight, both are similar. The color saturation of N79 is lower then N82

2) You cannot use the Light of N82 while recording videos but you can in N79. You cannot use the flashlight of both phones as a torch light. (seriously, Nokia 1100 has this...what were u thinking Nokia for omitting this very important feature )

3) Latest firmware can be hacked so Piracy of content like N-Gage games won't be a problem. You can also freely install cracked softwares. (Due to security & moral reasons, don't do it)

4) Gaming is better then N79 due to the Graphics Chip(I don't play games, I just have tetris of N-Gage installed)

5) Playing DVD rips which we usually download in computers over torrents is possible without any conversion using DivX mobile player in Nokia N82 due to dual core ARM CPU & GPU. In N79 such video stutters due to higher bitrate & resolution. To play video comfortably in N79 you need to convert it using recomended settings.

6) N82 looks pathetic compared to N79 while N79 looks pathetic compared to HTC Touch Diamond 2 which looks pathetic compared to SE Idou
