My laptop keyboard partially works

I have an asus n55sf n' my keyboard seems to be half broken . Usually i use it on my desk with an external usb keyboard but recently i had to use the laptop keyboard . But half of the keys work and rest of them don't . Is this a hardware problem?? Apparently the laptop didn't fall down or hit somewhere.

Tried using the keyboard in BIOS ? If they don't work even there, then its hardware issue for sure.

how do i check in BIOS?

Obviously by typing the keys which are not working under windows.

the f keys also don't work so i can't do the bios open. tried f2 and del didn't work even on usb keyboard.

You should be able to enter BIOS by the help of external keyboard, just search for the shortcut key. There is no way it can stop you from doing that.
