OK, this is fun. I just stumbled (via Digg) onto MPAA’s webpage where they link all the resources for legal downloading, buying or renting movies.

The fun part is that they managed to mess up all the links on the page. Sure, tech savvy folks will know where they messed up: instead of “a href=”dynamic.abc.go.com”” it should have been “a href=”*dynamic.abc.go.com”“, but the poor average user will think that the evil MPAA is toying with him, and there aren’t any sites with legal movies for download out there.

And then he’ll go to the Pirate Bay and download the stuff he wants.

that is intentional I guess. cos they dont want to link directly to the listed websites. mpaa.org is a PR 8 domain, getting linked from that site is a good booster for other websites and also for getting good search engine rankings.

but they could have used a 'nofollow' tag for that.. maybe they dont want to take any chance I guess. ;)

or may be its a simple CSS screw up and i am imagining things :p
