i have a lot of programs (by dozen) installed on my default C partition. Is there any way i can move them to another partition safely, without losing saved data, config settings, etc., etc., etc. ?

    agreed
u can change the drives using tweakUI tho .. change the default location of the program files folder
the thing is some programs dont keep the path in the registry only
u will definitely have problems with some programs
best thing u can do is copy the program folder to a safe location apart from ur program files .. uninstall the program ..reinstall ur programs to ur new location
then copy the old program folder over it. .. ur config should be safe ..
