mounting the partition

i have installed redhat 9.0 linux on my pc but now , i don't know how the mount the other partitions of my harddisk, if any body knows plz help.........

To see all partition on ur hdd type in terminal
then for mount, type
mkdir /mnt/windows
sudo mount -t vfat /dev/hdax /mnt/windows
if u have ntfs partitions then use ntfs instead of vfat
where hdax is ur partition shown in output of fdisk -l

Since vish786 has already given you a very clear answer to your question, am just offering an advice. :)

Use a more modern distro, even though educational syllabus might require you to use Red Hat 9.0, the other distros are much better and yet similar and on topic towards your course. If that's the reason, of course. I'd suggest Fedora 6 or 7 .. or my personal favorite, but slightly non-usable for your course, Ubuntu
