I do not need to compare this phone with the iPhone to show that it is ugly. It is ugly in comparison to most phones out there, and the iPhone is sexy in comparison to most phones out there. There is no comparison between the two when it comes to looks. But I have repeatedly said that I am not concerned about the iPhone here.

2 way slide N-series: As if that matters.
S60 3rd Edition Feature Pack 1(Symbian 9.2): It is a new phone from Nokia and it will have the latest version of Symbian. Big deal!
HSDPA (3.5G) phone (category 6 HSPDA device which means it is up to 10 times faster that WCDMA (3G)): Which also means that it is useless in India at present and for a long time to come.
5 MP (2592 x 1944) Carl Zeiss optics mechanical shutter cam with autofocus & DVD video(VGA 30fps) & a secondary CIF videocall camera; all taken in landscape mode.. a la the SE camphones: Yeah, its got a great camera. I mentioned that myself.
the WLAN: Most high-end phones have it, including the iPhone.
3D stereo speakers: W550i and a few other phones have it too.
MP3, AAC, eAAC, AAC+ and WMA files: Its great that this phone plays a lot of formats but I can always convert my files to other formats if my phone, whichever it is, does not play it.
mini-USB 2.0 connector: Ah! An incredible, new, unheard-of feature!
built-in GPS navigation with anticipated accuracy of around 10m (satellite signal permitting) and an installed Maps application covering over 100 countries: First of all, let me clear one thing for you. iPhone uses Google Maps to show you the traffic and directions, so it works all over the world. It is, however, not a GPS application so it does not show you your own location. This phone does. Another great feature.
TV-Out: One more good feature the iPhone lacks.
3.5 inch mini-jack connector, dedicated music buttons and camera buttons: If these are the boast-worthy features, there must be a real shortage of real features.
2.6" QVGA 240 x 320 pixel TFT 16M color display: The iPhone has a better display that also happens to be a Multi-touch enabled touchscreen.
160 MB of internal storage memory: iPhone has eight gigabytes.
64 MB of RAM: I don't care about the RAM as long as it runs fast. And this device is guaranteed to run pathetically slow.
Bluetooth 2.0 with EDR support, uPnP, infrared, UMTS, GPRS and EDGE, SIP support, BL-5F Battery with a proposed talktime of up to 6.5hrs & standby time of 220hrs: Blah blah blah!
All that in compact body of 99 mm x 20 mm x 53 mm and weight of just 120 g: A 21mm thick phone is compact! By which angle!!! You have to carry it in your pocket. It is even thicker than my W550i.
This phone's a bomb: And will cost a bomb too, probably as much as or even more than the iPhone.

I am not saying it is not a good phone, but I would never recommend such an ugly and thick phone to anybody just for a 5 MP camera, GPS and TV-out. I know it is a matter of choice and if someone prefers this one, go for it. But I just wanted to state that it looks ugly and that it does. It is one of the ugliest phones ever made.

Like playing a pipe in front of buffalo :D, same old thing....since it's not Apple it's not designer
2 way slide N-series: As if that matters.
Yup it does.

S60 3rd Edition Feature Pack 1(Symbian 9.2): It is a new phone from Nokia and it will have the latest version of Symbian. Big deal!
umm....yeah, not so big deal...but wasn’t it u who made a big deal of iPhone cos it was running "MacOS X" (striped edition)...big deal

HSDPA (3.5G) phone (category 6 HSPDA device which means it is up to 10 times faster that WCDMA (3G)): Which also means that it is useless in India at present and for a long time to come.
& also for the USA, cos 3G isn't there widespread, & since iPhone lacks it, it's not worth it.....I wonder why will Apple give it in iPhone 2.0, I mean...it's not worth while in USA right

MP3, AAC, eAAC, AAC+ and WMA files: It’s great that this phone plays a lot of formats but I can always convert my files to other formats if my phone, whichever it is, does not play it.
N95 is supposed to support OpenDRM just like W880i, which means it will play playforsure compatible files too....I guess since it's not iTunes store music....again it is not worthwhile. You can change the file format anytime...but iPhone will not play any DRM protected music other then iTunes while N95 will play from many online vendors

built-in GPS navigation with anticipated accuracy of around 10m (satellite signal permitting) and an installed Maps application covering over 100 countries: First of all, let me clear one thing for you. iPhone uses Google Maps to show you the traffic and directions, so it works all over the world. Plz read again, Google Maps doesn't show traffic info etc in any country other than USA, & even in USA it's in test phase. In WWDC Apple said it supports Google Maps, not that it supports Real time traffic too

2.6" QVGA 240 x 320 pixel TFT 16M color display: The iPhone has a better display that also happens to be a Multi-touch enabled touchscreen.
iPhone also has 16M color display with a very strange resolution.....big deal

160 MB of internal storage memory: iPhone has eight gigabytes
Yup, for $599, which means the user must buy it even if he doesn't require it. Oh! & N95 supports memory expansion....big deal..., it's not worthwhile right.

64 MB of RAM: I don't care about the RAM as long as it runs fast. And this device is guaranteed to run pathetically slow.
Windows Vista runs slow, Windows Mobile runs slow, Linux also runs slow....& now Symbian with a 400 MHz ARM CPU will also run slow...big deal right? I forgot, it's not Fruit branded
clip_image001.gif
. Care to elaborate why this device will run slow? Do have access to device...don't make false assumption & spread misinformation

Bluetooth 2.0 with EDR support, uPnP, infrared, UMTS, GPRS and EDGE, SIP support, BL-5F Battery with a proposed talktime of up to 6.5hrs & standby time of 220hrs: Blah blah blah!
How many of these feature iPhones doesn't support, many.

Like I said above, if it's not from apple camp it's ugly. (Philosophy of Mac users)

I just gave all the reasons why this phone is the God of Phones, hope this thread doesn't turns in a iPhone vs Rest all phones thread, i mean littrally....i m tired of pwning it all the times :D

And... one main thing :D... Apple is a computer company... Nokia is a born winner among phone companies :D Only SonyEriccson can come close to this mobile giant (well I'm a Sony fanatic) :D

So... a comparision'll not b nice. We still dunno IPhones's actual performance in terms of signal reception & the likes... what an actual phone should've. But.. Nokia... it proved itself right from the beginning.

I'll let you know that Nokia was actually started as a fertiliser company and then switched over to making cellular phones. At least, Apple is coming from a very related line and with such a huge reputation of making groundbreaking and spectacular products.
