upto 1440x900 you should be able to play most games at medium or low(depends) graphics quality,but Crysis 2 will not run on your setup As it requires minimum 8800GT,which is quite a bit faster than your card although outdated by a big margin.

THe Crysis 2 will work more than easily in this config. at 40 fps at around 1024x768. It works at 30 fps in my Celeron+ 9500 GT.

@OP
Your PC is enuff for MODERATE gaming. My E7400+4670 is still doing a good job in moderate gaming.

I play Crysis 2 at HArdcore Settings , at 720p , 40 FPS , at 1080p i get 25 FPS. Best Graphics i have ever seen. 5670 is more capable than people think.

Your monitor's native resolution is 1366x768 or 1360x768, I guess. You can play most of the games at medium settings.

Performance of both 8800GT and HD 5670 is exactly the same.

Extreme gamer, have a look at the HD 5670 review first. The performance of it is almost same as a 9800 GT which in turns slightly faster than 8800 GT.

jkultimate, have you purchased the system already?

Adding to Furious : 8800GT, 9800GT are at higher side when compared to 5670 when it comes to power consumption & heat level..& of course price too...

I think this topic [9800 vs 5670] or [Performance of 5670] was not discussed @ Nvidia Forums or He would have missed it out...

Lynx have the Sapphire 6670 @ 5300 ex vat and the MSI one, which features dual fans, costs 5465 ex vat. Performance is better than 5670 and it OC like hell. At your monitor's native resolution you should sail through most of the games.
