Please help me resolve this issue
I bought a new TP Link TL-WR841N wifi router last month and connected it with my Airtel BX 220 modem it worked fine. But recently Airtel modem started giving some problem and on lodging a complaint the airtel technician changed it with one of my old available modem ie. Hauwei Smartax MT 880.
After configuring the modem. we observed that hauwei modem was working okay when connected directly to desktop through Ethernet cable, but when connected through TP Link wifi router it was not providing any connectivity either thru Ethernet cable or wifi.
Airtel technician suggested me that some subnet mask (not sure or DNS) of TP Link wifi router have to be synchronized as per Hauwei modem, then it will function. I did not encouraged him as I felt that he was bit doubtful about his configuration skills, thus avoided him to mess up my new TP Link router.
Right now I am still using hauwei modem directly connected with desktop. I want to make TP link wifi router operational for using my notebook, mobile etc.
Kindly suggest is there any solution for this issue or I may have to buy a new modem which is compatible with TP link ?
(My Desktop where the TP link is installed is working on Windows XP prof. o/s)
Thanking you in advance.
