Nokia's fate was sealed the day when it decided to abandon its own Meego and opted for Windows crap. I bet that right now Jolla Employees are finally having a smile on their face :)

the Asha series had some crippling and baffling design decisions, which probably affected their sales. Only the QWERTY versions had Wi-Fi. Which means none of the touch and type phones. They still had a rich ecosystem, but you could not enjoy them on wi-fi.

I am unclear about the hater hype it generates when Microsoft does something unpleasant. Nokia's progress was dead the moment it was acquired by MS. I am glad that they took the time to make the transition and not rush over a buyout. This news was expected and tbf, it's quite late.

Possible that some of them might go to Jolla. Only now they wont have that entrepreneur grant.
