L720 does not have what this MMX piece has but still its not worth buying because you'l face a lot of problems after buying it..

I was also having same thoughts till 3 weeks ago. I know 2 people who are using MMX Canvas 2 from January '13. One of them uses it carefully but the other one has dropped it several times & its still working. I've seen those scratches myself.
A year ago my friend bought a MMX phone worth 8k, dropped it once from 1.5 m height & its touchscreen was malfunctioning.

I'm just saying that, MMX has improved its quality a lot. A auth. MMX service centre is available at Port Blair  whereas there is no auth. Samsung, Nokia, Sony etc service centre here :-(

MMX phone is good for those who are planning to use their phone for only 1-2 years, not for people like my dad, who is still using old Nokia 5800 xpress music & doesn't want to change it as its still working

Instead of this get Samsung Note for 21k

(this suggestion is for Samsung lovers and the people who love big screen only.)

@anupam : You have got your answer by now buddy

Go for anything . but NOT MMX.

I won't buy a MMX phone......as my budget would be higher. Any way.....new phone for me only after 2 years...atleast.... :|

I prefer using phone for atleast 2-3 years.
Used my first phone for 2.5 years(Nokia 5310, dead) & second phone for 1 year(Galaxy Y, now with mom)......now S2 :)

the bad thing is if MMX A116 fails to deliver good GPU performance at 720p, how will the same SoC deliver even playable peformance at 1080p

Canvas Pro seems to be good for simple multimedia usage....exclude high end gaming. There r many ppl who just use phone for taking pics, watching videos n browsing internet.......use some apps...

Still it wud be even better deal @ 15k. Canvas HD is now at 13k
