lost windows files

i have used spyware doctor on my pc , when i ran it ,it founds many adds ,then it quarantine them & removed them, due to this some of the windows files which were infected are also removed ,i faced many problems due to this, like i cant execute many programs, help me.i used win98 is there any software or program to recover win files from win98 setup.

If u r using WinXP, then u can boot from Windows XP Setup CD and select Repair Windows option.
It'll automatically restore the required files and will remain existing installed s/w.

Start -> run -> cmd -> sfc/scannow ...insert your XP CD..and it wil replace the Missing Files...

He is running Windows 98.

You can run sfc (System File Checker) which will check the corrupted files and restore them from the windows 98 cabs.

You can check:
