hi,
can it be possible to load windows xp pro in server machine??? we have one server (HCL infinite global line) which was loaded with windows 2000 server std edn. as our office has got a new windows 2003 server and all the works are transferred to it, this server lies idle. as working on server Os is not comfortable, i just wanted to know if the server can be made xp pro OS.

as such i have the requires RAID program that is used for SCSI HDD. with its support i even loaded windows 2000 server. upon browsing the CD, i found that there is seperate RAID driver for windows Xp also.

well, i have tried it but there seems technical problem as it just hangs. any idea??????

there shouldnt be any problem while loading windows XP...

make sure at the time of boot up (from XP loading CD) u press F6 at proper momment to load all the needed driver such as RAID for SCSI HDD and what ever the default XP disk doesnt bring with it but important to run the installation...
