I am trying to live boot(and finally, make the thing persistent) Xubuntu 12.10 from 4gb usb. It has no partitions and has been formatted in fat32. Yes,I changed the boot order to boot from usb drive. When I boot into the usb it gives me a message "Boot Error", and pressing any key, boots back into windows. I was able to install puppy linux off the drive. Please help!!

^^ Thanks for the reply. Sorry for the late reply. But I have been using LiLi to make the usb. I then thought maybe the drive wasn't ok but I successfully booted up: 64studio, puppy after formatting. I also tested md5, sha and successfully booted up the iso in virtualbox. I don't know what the problem is but it is only the xubuntu iso which is not booting. Please help!

dont you guys check hashes? 90% of the time, the data is corrupted, even while copying to a different device.
