Can someone plz clarify on this this suddenly came to my mind.

Take for example a site has 10 pages in all. The webmaster creates a sub domain for each page so that the users are can easily remember the url of the pages like

www.domain.com/forum === forum.domain.com
www.domain.com/chat ==== chat.domain.com

and so on..

Moreover what he does is the hyperlinks which he provides on the home page for this are not in the form www.domain.com/forum but in the subdomain form i.e forum.domain.com.

In this connection I have the following doubts

1. Will the search bots easily spider these pages which have links in sub domain form?

2. Will there be any difference in indexing the pages in both the ways??

3. Which one is overall better?

If I have missed any pros and cons of the two plz do mention them

Thanks

1. Yes

2. No difference. As long as there are links on the home page, which ever type they are, it will be indexed

3. The form www.domain.com/forum is overall better, since forum.domain.com would look like a site forum hosted on domain.com
