Line Printer - PDF file printout appears junk

This is sorta urgent but its Sunday today and most of u guys must be relaxing

i urgently need to take printouts of some 4000 pages. someone offered me to do it on something called as 'line printer' which he says is too fast and will do the job in 2-3 hrs approx.

well, quality of print does not mater as long as its readable.

Problem is, Half of the files are in doc format and half are in PDF. Print outs from .doc files is no prob but printouts from Adobe comes out as junk.

Even if we try to copy PDF text to other application and take a print, it appears as junk.

Any suggestion/solution?

As I suggested in some other thread, using alternate drivers may help. But If you are using HP printer I am afraid the print will be VERY VERY slow.
