Edit: False news, it seems LG Estonia has misinterpreted a small update and has rumoured the Update as kitakat.
As bullsh1t as it may sound but the Estonian branch did something that deserves faceplams, ,,,
Effing noobs. .

Seems LG back in Business , throwing a punch by giving it's an Year old Flagship device "Optimus G" , an update to Latest Android 4.4 , Kitkat.

Although the update has only been rolled out by a specific Telco Provider , in France.

It's good to see this , since majority of devices are still stuck on initial releases of Jellybean .

LG Optimus G gets Android 4.4 in Estonia
Source : PhoneArena.
Back in October, LG France suffered from "loose lips syndrome" and accidentally passed along the word that the LG Optimus G was going to receive the Android 4.4 update as early as October. The preposterous sounding tongue-slip seemed to be a bogus statement because Android 4.4 didn't launch until after October 31st. But as it turns out, the LG Optimus G was indeed one of the first devices to receive KitKat...in Estonia. And this news comes courtesy of LG's own Facebook page in that nation.

Today, the Android 4.4 update has started rolling out to the LG model in the Baltic state. In addition, the update is available only to those LG Optimus G users who are customers of Elisa, the second largest carrier in that country. It is a bit nutty, considering that the much more highly spec'd LG G2 remains stuck on Android 4.2.2.

The million dollar question is whether this update will spread. First, throughout Estonia's other carriers, then through the entire Baltic region. Next would be Europe, Asia and the MidEast before finally hitting U.S. LG Optimus G owners. Don't say it won't happen. After all, who would have thought that those with the device in Estonia, only on a specific mobile operator, would find Android 4.4 driving the phone well before many other more powerful Android handsets?

Great Move by LG and a direct slap to those Sony fanboys who always bit-ch about LG's lack of official updates wheres Sony itself renders their good phones unusable by crap updates.

That being said , LG still has a long way to go , though. It has been notorious for delaying updates , and leaving it's users stuck on obsolete firmwares for long. I hope , they come up from this , since they have started making some really damn good devices recently.
L9 , Nexus , Optimus G , G2 ,etc.

When do we get the update ?
Not rolled out for anyone else except the Estonian telco.
But since , it's out there , so the E975 international variant users , should expect a stable port soon at XDA , and maybe an OTA in a month or two..

Mine is the AT&T version , so it's definitely going to take longer , as AT&T will first test it.
