I think these are very basic questions, anyway...

1. Leased line is for internet only ?

2. Any info (like requirements/rates/feedbacks) on BSNL leased lines ?
(Note : Plz do not ask me to chk their website as I already checked it and it is quite confusing)

3. Any info on pricing for a 2Mbps leased line ? (toal approx cost per month/year/installation charges etc)

4. In BSNL website they provide a chart with distance/price. What is that distance ?

Basically, my requirement is gettin unlimited high speed internet

Thanks in advance (I should read 'Leased line FAQ for Dummies' lol )

leased lines are meant for big corporate companies not for home use, they are damn expensive which requires leathal hardware and software, they offer 24/7 fast 1-2MBps net connection.

As far as I know, leased lines are available in 3 different formats...

1:1 - whole 2mbps pipe will be yours
1:2 - 2 people will share the line
1:4 - 4 people will share the line

The wiring charges depend upon the distance between their local connection point and your location...

The net charges for net connection should be around 6 Lakhs per year for 1:2 or 1:1 line...it may be cheaper too...

ISPs like reliance have started giving conneciton through wireless mode to avoid cost of wires and all...

Just check with local exchange for more details...
