Right off the assembly line
I have an LCD monitor that roommate wiped the screen off with a very wet cloth(very bad thing). Well about 6 months later (today) I am trying to repair my monitor but not sure with part(s) to replace. Maybe someone can help point me in the right direction after searching for some hours.

What happens now to the monitor is when it turns on it will work for almost a second then all the backlights will shut off. There are 14 backlights (CCFL I think they are called). Anyhow after they shut off I can still see the screen if I hold a flashlight up to it.
Is this the work of a bad power inverter, Or another component?
THANKS!!!!!

before doing any R&D on it, if it's still under warranty, take it to RMA center for repair.

Well, I did try that for a while, sent e-mails and such. They would never respond and eventually the warranty expired. Talk about crappy customer service, huh.

What exactly is an RMA center. It is an I-inc. Not a big name brand but it works as long as you keep water away from it.
