Laptop RAM and cooler

I own a msi x460dx. 14'' laptop.

i'm planning to add a 4gb ram to one of it's unused slots along with an already existing 2gb stick. it supports 1066/1333mhz according to manual. how can i know what frequency my laptop uses? and what brand should i buy? do both ram sticks need to be by same manufacturer?

also suggest a cheap cooler. branded or non branded, cheapest.. i'm not familiar with prices.

planning to buy online so links for both are welcome.

Check From CPUZ about RAM confirmation . Also the RAM i have mentioned is DDR3 . Do you want DDR3 / DDR2 ?

download & install cpu-z ad post the screenshot of thee memory tab before RAM can be suggested.

First gen - upto 1066MHz
Second gen - upto 1333MHz.
Don't worry about different brand or timings, just match the frequency. Check from CPUZ if the currently installed RAM is of which frequency.

it's i5-2430, that means 2nd gen.

checked cpuz it says 667Mhz

so x2=1333mhz.
So i should proceed with this frequency right.

Ddr3 1333mhz 204pin so-dimm.
will these specs guarantee that i buy the correct ram?
