For gaming you can look for brands like ASUS or MSI. If you want a fully multimedia enabled laptop with latest games running on medium setting then go for dell xps 15. You will get the latest core i7 laptops released in the first week of September with all the above mentioned features.
While looking for a graphic card the GPU RAM is not a good benchmark for performance as most of the GPU's will not able to utilize most of its RAM like the nividia 540m.
Personally for gaming I'll prefer a desktop rather than a laptop
