Knowing Who changed data in MS SQL SERVEr

hi,

I want to know is there anyway by which we know who has changed or inserted data in a table.

Is this information stored anywhere.

I have a table salaraydata in my payroll application, this appplication is accessed using different people with different user names(SQL Server User/login Names).
