Broken In
In my room I don't have an AC....most summers I have trouble with overheating in my PC.
This time I went to the local dealer who sold me the assembled PC with this problem. He said that including a heat sink, extra fan, etc. was the usual way but suggested another method.
He told me to place a ice tray on top of the case, with a protective plastic sheet beneath. Said that since metal is a good conductor of heat this way my entire PC would keep cool.
I tried it and yes the fans became less noisy (meaning it was becoming cool).
As the ice melts, I quickly replace it with another, so that no water droplets are formed on the plastic sheets. Should I continue with this method of keeping my PC cool?
