I've got 50-60k to spend. Any ideas?

If you are not very enthusiastic about photography and don't travel a lot, the DSLR will eat dust, I suggest get a Bike, else get some god soundcard(xonar XTX) and some good audio setup(A2?) and upgrade the pc if necessary. Galaxy SII is another nice option.

If I had that kind of money. I would start with - NerdKits - learn electronics with our educational microcontroller kit
basically go into DIY electronics, programming , microcontrollers, robotics etc. Ofcourse you will need time along with money for this.

Yes, I know what kind of camera I am getting with D7000. Besides, I need something which would take me away from computers.

If you are not really into photography then i suggest you get a good bike ...........Atleast that will keep you away from computers as well as serve you for a long time considering the amount of money you plan to invest
