I want to know....after having Vista firewall and Windows Defender.....
Should I go for any Antivirus or Internet security software such as Kaspersky Anti virus or K.Internet Security ?

What is the difference in functions between Anti virus and Internet Security ?

As I read in other tech forums Vistas inbuilt security features are not enough for current security threats.

Get a NoD or Kapersky AV and ZoneAlarm / Outpost Firewall.

@bajaj151 IMO you need :
1.A good antivirus avast is a good and free to use option
2.a firewall(must)---Zonealarm
3.A spyware--Spybot s&d is good enough and free to use
4.adware---adadware plus again free to use
5.A lot of common sense.

Attitude matters
I had problems with Zonealarm for Vista. So better stick with Windows firewall. As for spyware I shall go with Spywareblaster and together with Windows defender that should be OK.As for Antivirus my vote goes to AVG free.So additions of Spywareblaster, and AVG free and that is how I am running my Vista Home basic now. And @Devil is Adaware2007 Vista compatible? If it is I will have no hesitation of adding it to my arsenal since I had always been happy with adaware.

I would suggest
1. Avast Antivirus,
2. Spybot Search & Destroy alongwith Defender
3. Windows Inbuilt Firewall
4. And yes, lots of common sense while surfing as said by The_Devil_Himself :)

THE MOST IMPORTANT THING IS TO KEEP THESE UPDATED.

I am using these without any problem since months. :)

I have tried Ashampoo, Comodo and Zonealarm firewalls, they all gave problems in either first run or sometime later. Internet performance suffered in my case. So i dont prefer any of them. Windows Firewall is good enough, atleast for me. Its light on system and it works :)

ADAware 2007 has many bugs in its UI-Engine integration according to my testing and i would not like to use it untill they give a fix.

Cheers!
