AMD Athlon II X4 630
MSI GF615M P33
2GB DDR3 1333

I purchased this configuration weeks ago. Most people here had advised me to go for 785G chipset. But i had to go for MSI GF615M P33 due to unavailability of MSI 785GM E51 in my town.It has AM3 socket and 2 dimm slots for ddr3 max 8gb.It was enough for me.Also i had a 9500GT from my old config. So i decided to go for this mobo. That time i didnt know about HT technology. My proccy can reach 4000Mhz HT link frequency. But this mobo supports HT 1.0 and the maximum is 1000Mhz.Now my proccy works in HT 1000 Mhz.Is it affecting its performance?

it surely is. i not sure but i think HT link is equivalent to FSB in Intel proccy. sorry if i wrong, as i read somewhere months ago. with such a good proccy, u should have surely opt for 785G board or even 790GX board form Biostar wil cost same.

Buddy why did you go for that msi board in the first place?
Sam.Shab is right, its surely bottlenecking the performance of x4 630.
Change the board and go for a 785 chipset. The communication bus should perform optimally in order to extract more from the processsor.

yes it is

i have the same config but with 785g-e53 mobo which support HTB upto 5200 Mhz

How can i change my mobo once purchased? I am confused :(

I mean sell it someone who doesn't know much about ht(bus communication).

Though there will be some loss but you have to bear it if you want to unleash your processor at its fullest.

yah, true. these mobo's were actually meant to be paired with the original Phenoms or Athlon 64 X2's that have HT rev.1. however their graphics doesn't sucks as they based on few years only Nvidia IGP. sell it. & get a descent 785G mobo online, if u unable find 1 locally.

Sorry for the mistake its 1000 Mhz and 2600Mhz.HT 1.0 and HT 3.0.I googled a lot about it.All result said the difference will be minimal as its used to communicate with IGP and other sockets in the board. It matters only for multi socket PC's and server PC's.It doesnt affect PC's processing power and communication with ram.As i am using GFX card in PCIex16 slot no problem for Graphics communication. Also i benchmarked this configuration and got satisfying results.Got better CPU mark than all C2Duos and core i3 530 and got similar marks with Q8200.
