is my mobo good enough?

hey guyz the following config
processor: intel p4 ht
ram : 2x2gb ddr2 (kingston and hynet)
GPU : planning to buy a used 5570 or 4770
PSU : ATM i have a iball psu of 400 watts, but i'm buying another one zebronics platinum 500 watts
MOBO: intel d945gcr

this is my current systems config, i will build another system in 7-8 months with high config (low on money now)... so my question is that do i need anything else to be changed for now or is this config enough for me to drag these months,as i'm not planning to spend much more than 5-6k on this one, i just want to play all the games...
i'm running windows 7 64 bit...

and also can i overclock my processor and GPU with this MOBO???

AFAIK your Motherboard has a PCIe slot(just confirm it yourself to be sure)
So you can install the mentioned GPUs

But the intel P4 HT processor will bottle neck the GPUs so you need to upgrade the processor to atleast C2D, which is possible as your motherboard supports LGA775 if i am not wrong.

Let us know the resolution of the monitor you are using so that we can suggest suitably.

Moreover if you get a GPU change your PSU and dont buy Zebronics PSU, Get either FSP Saga II 350W for 1.5k or you can buy a better PSU before hand since you are going for a new rig in 7-8 months.

my p4 wont play games? i really dont want to spend on processor co i will go for i5 or i7 afterwards...

also i will buy a monitor in a month.. previously i was planning for alienware 23" 3d one but then i figured out that 3d wont be of much use for me so i dropped my plan now i will buy a 24" full hd monitor.. so i guess problem for monitor will be solved

and about the PSU.. i'm buying the zebronics one second hand.. costing me around 1000... so i guess that will be sufficient for me for 7-8 months.. rite?

also can you temme about the overclocking question?

533/667/800/1066mhz?

800 mhz.. but i guess my mobo just allows 533mhz.. rest go waste.. i'm not sure though

Get a FSP Saga Saga II 350W PSU + Sapphire HD5670 512MB @ 1.5K+4.5K = 6K

the gfx card will come handy even in your future rig.

Your mobo max mem speed support is 533Mhz and you already have 2*2GB ram - so no upgrade necessary in here.

Your mobo does not support OC.
