What is this index.dat file. Is it s virus ?????????? I cannot delete this file....It is there in my cookies folder.

it's not a virus. index.dat are files hidden on your computer that contain all of the Web sites that you have ever visited.

to remove index.dat files:-
*www.acesoft.net/delete_index.dat_files.htm

index.dat is an information sequences of digitally accredited transformations which is used to store all required data to run a particular program specially interbet explorer.. do not delete
