i share my pc with my brother, who hardly uses it... so is it possible to divide the system resources like i use 450 mb ram and he uses 512-450 mb ram, i use 35 gb hd and he uses 5gb. i mean this should be totally secure.....

also, is there a way for total security for a pc from outsiders....win xp login password can easily be changed

Yeah, it is not possible unless u are in a network, that too, it would only allow hard disk sharing.

To your second query, windows admin password secure enough, unless somebody accesses your system thru a boot floppy and deletes your .sam files from Windows. This boot floppy access can easily be disabled thru bios, and make hard disk the only way to boot your computer.

u know u should use the benifits on winXP user interface.... & a nother thing is get another HDD..... when ever u & ur brother want to use computer then boot from ur separate HDD (u can config that from BIOS) both will contain separate OS (winXP pro) & that can be config to restict each other (drives) with winXP NTFS drive protection........
