recently i bought two Seagate backup plus desktop 2TB. they are out of the box ready-to-use so is it necessary to full format them before i run error checking utility (ie. crystaldisk)

which HDD error checking utility is better SeaTools or CrystalDiskInfo or any other for external HDD?

External HDD - Seagate Backup Plus Desktop 2TB [USB 3.0]

R this temps & other parameter are normal for external hdds

do not select resize image option when uploading to image hosting sites.nothing is visible in detail in your pics which now looks like thumbnails.

use crystaldisk & specially keep an eye on these 3 values:uncorrectable sector, pending sector & reallocated sector.their raw values initially 000000000000 must not increase even by 1.if it just increase even by 1 then monitor these values every 5 min to check there is no further increase.

you used the wrong code/links earlier.direct links work fine.i suggest imgur for image uploading.make a free account & just use the simple one line forum link/code in post & its done.

everything looks good.read my first post above for values to specially keep an eye on.also your power on count of 7&8 indicates your usb hdd's have been turned on & off 7 & 8 times respectively while power on hours 1&3 indicates they have been active for a total duration of 1 & 3 hours respectively from the time you 1st started them after buying.it is recommended to not turn on & off hdd's frequently since it causes larger strain than running them continuously for 5-6 hours.my suggestion is keep at least 7-8 hours gap between connecting hdd.if you need hdd say every 3-4 hours then leave them connected instead of disconnecting & reconnecting after every few hours.
