you can choose a locally made Inverter of 800VA(means 640Watts)/1400VA(1120Watts) but make sure that you are opting for the following..
1. pure sine wave
2. A C10 battery ( 150AH C20 battery is equivalent to 120AH C10 for most batteries, Most of the low cost batteries have their capacities mentioned at C20)
3. If possible ask your local inverter maker to opt for Crompton Greaves Board.
4. Change over time <10ms
5. Avoid Exide tubular batteries since it requires >14.5v float charging voltage to keep the battery fully charged.( most inverters still uses transformers to charge the battery and it usually gives 13.7+/- .2 V float charge).
