internet problem in galaxy ace

hi guys thanx for ur previous suggestions

i bought ace mobile and ever since I had a problem with internet and the problem is internet is working in opera but not working through the internet directly
please tell me how to do that even now I am posting this through opera so please tell me
it even working in other applications like facebook, gmail, market etc

Even other applications are working but only inter net only is not working directly through internet application

Facebook, gmail and others are working fine even you tube is also working fine

please guys help me out im using airtel mobile office for net and i cannot open any site from the phones inbuilt browser. net works fine with opera, gmail, etc.

I am not aware of any messed up or missing proxy settings in the internet browser. I don't have an android yet. Can anyone check out browser settings and help out a brother?

i jus bought this phone a week back and nothing at all is working for me
the Internet is not working , i'm using Idea network and have taken settings from them/.
but no luck at all. i did that countless of times.

can any of u tec guys help me out plzzz

Please note the following:
1. Are you using GPRS pack with Idea or the 'live' sort of pack (using proxy internet). Because those packs have limited access to sites and a lot sites are blocked. Also, most of these cell phone executives do not know the settings themselves.
I have been using this device for last 15 days or so and used it with Vodafone, AirTel and BSNL networks and each case the device picked up the settings correctly without any problems whatsoever.
So I think the executive is giving you wrong settings. If possible visit an Idea store or their web site to get the correct settings .

I am not so so satisfied with the answers. i will clearly explain the problem here
I bought a galaxy ace like 3 weeks ago and first day i activated my gprs service from airtel i,e, mobile office. i had recieved the settings and stored and tried to open internet in inbuilt samsung browser. but that didnt work

But when i opened Market app network got connected and i downloaded opera frm there. Then i tried in opera and voila! it started working.

Then again i tried in Inbuilt browser but stil it says no network connection.
After this i downloaded apps like facebook, twitter, youtube, ESPN cric info.
These are all working fine which means network is very much accessible.
Even i set up my office email and it works fine too.

But till now my mobile's inbuilt browser never opened any site. always it says no packet data.

please please please help me im in desperate situation.

im starting to dislike this phone so plelease help me

Dude,

Couple of questions :~

1. Which browser u use the most ?
2. Did u try making Opera as Default ?


Things that you can try :
1. Uninstall Opera mini
2. Delete existing GPRS Settings
3. Request for new settings
4. Open Android browser (as opera will not be there now)
5. Go to settings for the browser (may have to dig down deep)
6. Select Airtel Mobile Connect where it has option something like - which connection you want to use
7. Then restart ur phone.

I m confused and trying to understand - How did u download Opera mini on ur mobile if ur default froyo browser is not working ?

Try to enter Airtel APN manually.

Go to Settings >> Wireless & Networks >> APN. Delete existing APNs and create a new one.

Name: Mobile Office

APN: airtelgprs.com

Leave everything else as is... and save it.

Then try again with built-in browser... I am hoping this should solve the problem...

Try changing your network

I changed to docomo and every thing works fine but to say net is not so fast only 112 kbps against 3Mbps in airtel

I have been using galaxy ace for four months. Since then there is an internet connection problem in applications except for opera mini and built in browser.. Plz help
