Both are good for gaming. Go for 3450. The gaming performance of these two are not very different..

3550 is slightly better. If cost is not an issue, I d go with the 3550.
@ Op - why not just get a core i5 3570 and get rid of this confusion - there's virtually no price difference between i5 3550 and i5 3570 but if I 've to go with any of these cpus I would opt for i5 3470 and spend the saved 1k ( compared to i5 3570 ) to buy a better gpu.
